“Surprise yourself in Wenatchee”

"Everyone writes about the romantic setting and yes it is great for a couple, but it's also simply civilized, and calm, a place to restore, which is after all, the French root of the word "restaurant" Before summer slips away, you must try the garden in back, beautiful, quiet, and zen-like, Where are we, we kept thinking ? More Palm Springs than Wenatchee, WA. And we saved the price of airfare.
Five weeks ago, we enjoyed excellent service from Kristina, I had the feeling she would have done anything to make customers happy, like run to the kitchen for salt (which she did) or turn on a heat lamp (which wasn't required, but offered). And then there's the food, Wow, this is a true foodie spot that lives up to big city standards. The bread and dipping oil is fantastic, plentiful and full flavored. Salad was a nice change of pace from usual mixed ones, with a French influence.that I found refreshing, like copious capers.. Had a salmon special that was perfectly grilled, splashing visually, with a side sauce, and served with plentiful vegetables. 
Also had the U-15 prawns with that spectacular white sauce, so well conceived and executed compared to the usual bland white seafood sauces. Everything at Shakti's seems to have an extra degree of flavor extracted, and with great service at great value; the flavor per dollar is off the chart. I'm looking forward to visit #4 sometime soon."  -  Raymond A
